After seven years, Shakira has unleashed Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry), her first new album since the 2017 Grammy-winning set El Dorado.

Released to all digital streaming platforms on Friday (March 22), this new album is a catharsis for the Colombian hitmaker, who is vulnerable and raw in what could be described as her most personal LP to date. Coming from massive hits such as her Bizarrap-produced music session and the girl-anthem “TQG” with Karol G, Shakira takes fans on a healing journey with songs including “Última,” “Cómo Dónde y Cuándo” and “La Fuerte,” another team up with Bizarrap.

The set includes collaborations with other artists, such as Rauw Alejandro (“Cohete”), Cardi B (“Puntería”) and Grupo Frontera (“(Entre Parentésis)”). Previously released songs that are also part of the album are “Copa Vacía” with Manuel Turizo, “Monotonía” with Ozuna, “El Jefe” with Fuerza Regida and the sweet “Acróstico” with her sons Milan and Sasha.

“Making this body of work has been an alchemical process,” Shakira previously said in a statement. “While writing each song, I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength.”

Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran follows El Dorado, which spent five weeks at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Latin Albums chart. Overall, the hitmaker has placed eight top 10 albums on the Top Latin Albums chart, six of those hit No. 1, including Dónde Están Los Ladrones? (1998), Fijación Oral: Vol. 1 (2005) and Sale El Sol (2010).
