Singer-songwriter Dylan Scott earns his third chart-topper on Billboard’s Country Airplay tally (dated Dec. 2) as “Can’t Have Mine” (Curb) hops from No. 4 to No. 1. In the Nov. 17-23 tracking week, the single gained by 16% to 32.5 million audience impressions, according to Luminate.

Scott co-wrote the song with Matt Alderman, Josh Melton and Dallas Wilson. It’s the second single from Scott’s second LP, the 16-track Livin’ My Best Life, released in August 2022. Lead single “New Truck” rolled to No. 1 for a week that month.

The 33-year-old Scott from Bastrop, La., notched his first Country Airplay No. 1 with “My Girl,” which dominated for one week in July 2017. He boasts two other top 10s, both of which reached No. 2: “Nobody,” in June 2021, and “Hooked,” in September 2018.

“Can’t Have Mine” reaches the Country Airplay penthouse in its 62nd week on the chart, completing the lengthiest trip to No. 1 this year and the fourth-longest since the survey launched in January 1990. Michael Ray’s “Whiskey and Rain” took 65 frames to lead the list in January 2022, matching Travis Denning’s 65-week trek to the top in June 2020, while, also in June 2020, Scotty McCreery’s “In Between” hit No. 1 in its 63rd week.

‘Horse’ Gallops

Chris Stapleton’s “White Horse” hits the Country Airplay top 10 (11-10; 17.4 million, up 16%). The song, which Stapleton wrote with Dan Wilson, becomes his fifth top 10. It’s from his LP Higher, which debuted at No. 1 on the Nov. 25-dated Top Country Albums chart with 90,000 equivalent album units, becoming his fifth leader.

“White Horse” is Stapleton’s first Country Airplay top 10 since “You Should Probably Leave,” which led for a week in February 2022, marking his second No. 1.
