21 Savage Set to Perform in U.K. for the First Time With O2 Arena Show

21 Savage is set to perform in the U.K. for the first time after recently resolving immigration issues.

The U.K.-born, Atlanta-raised rapper (real name She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph) will perform at London’s O2 Arena on Nov. 30. This marks 21 Savage’s first and biggest headline show to date. Presale starts Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 9 a.m., while general on-sale starts  Friday, Oct. 13 at 9 a.m. local time at LiveNation.co.uk.

The concert announcement arrives two days after 21 Savage’s first live appearance outside the U.S., when his frequent collaborator and current tourmate Drake welcomed him with open arms during the penultimate Toronto stop of their It’s All a Blur Tour on Saturday (Oct. 7). He didn’t perform at the tour’s previous Canadian tour dates, when J. Cole and Travis Scott filled in for him at the Montreal and Vancouver concerts, respectively. On Drake’s song “8AM in Charlotte” from his new album For All the Dogs, he rapped, “Savage got a green card straight out of the consulate/ Where I go, you go, brother, we Yugoslavian,” hinting at his U.S. citizenship.

Earlier on show day, 21 Savage’s lawyer Charles Kuck confirmed that his client had officially become a permanent U.S. resident and could now travel overseas. In his statement, Kuck said the Grammy-nominated rapper “followed all applicable immigration laws” after initially being taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Georgia in February 2019. At the time, officials said the rapper was “unlawfully present” in the U.S. on a 2005 visa that expired one year after his arrival. “His immigration court proceedings have now been terminated and he is a lawful permanent resident of the United States with the freedom to travel internationally,” Kuck said.

The London concert announcement also arrives two days after 21 Savage, 30, teased his U.K. homecoming with a nostalgic Instagram video — soundtracked by Skylar Grey’s “Coming Home” — that showcased his childhood memories from across the pond.

A source previously told Billboard that 21 Savage is also planning an international tour.
