For the third time in her career, Lana Del Rey performed in Mexico City on Tuesday (Aug. 15), where she offered an unforgettable show at the Foro Sol that gathered 65,000 attendees, according the promoter Ocesa.
It was the first of two concerts in the Mexican capital as part of her international Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd Tour 2023.
The audience responded happily to the warmth that the singer, producer, actress and model brought to the large crowd as soon as she stepped on stage. Lana del Rey’s first performance at the Foro Sol, since her last visit to Mexico in 2016, was marked by the affection and generosity she showed to her fans during the visits she made hours before to various tourist spots in the city, which were shared on social media.
On Wednesday (Aug. 16), the artist gave her second and last show in Mexico as part of her tour. Her concerts originally scheduled for Aug. 18 and 20 in Guadalajara and Monterrey, respectively, will be rescheduled for dates yet to be announced by Ocesa.

With that phrase, Lana del Rey would ignite a magical night for her and her fans in Mexico. The message first appeared projected on the screen behind the stage, and then she read it in Spanish, which translates to “God bless Mexico City,” a gesture that the audience reacted to with roaring shouts and applauses.
The artist came out wearing a white dress emulating a bridal trousseau, white, shiny ankle boots and a veil adorned with red roses and black bows held with a tiara. Some fans mimicked the attire and attended the concert dressed in white and wearing tiaras to pin on the veil. Her hit “Young & Beautiful,” the second on the setlist, was chanted effusively by attendees.
During her performance of “Arcadia,” the star sat down on the piano and let herself go into a trance-like state. When she opened her eyes, she saw that for the first time, the crowd was turning on their cell phone lights.
“That is beautiful! I will cherish this in my memory — you will always be present with me,” said the performer.
During her performance of “Ultraviolence,” the singer-songwriter came down from the front barricade area to engage with her fans, many of whom had camped out a day prior to show to be in the front row. There, the singer gave out autographs, kisses, hugs, selfies and more kisses, a gesture that was rewarded by her audience with flowers, cards, stuffed animals and even a Mexican flag.
From near the Foro Sol runway, jubilant shouts were heard: “Lana, sister, you’re now Mexican!”
“Summertime Sadness” rocked the Foro Sol, achieving one of the most emotional moments of the evening. Del Rey radiantly walked across the stage with a cool mix of sensuality, melancholy and happiness. “Believe me, the pleasure is all mine,” she said, visibly moved.
