The Impact Atlanta is back. BET+ announced on Tuesday (June 27) that the popular docuseries in partnership with eOne and Quality Films will be returning for a second season.
The eight-episode series highlights Atlanta’s most influential young creatives and influencers as they give viewers a look into their lives, featuring important events, conversations, and moments they experience. Additionally, the six castmembers will share a peek into the creative process, preparation and deal-making it takes to expand their personal brands and impact the culture.
The Impact Atlanta is executive produced by Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Pierre “P” Thomas and Brian Sher for Quality Films; Karam Gill; and Tara Long and Gennifer Gardiner for eOne. Connie Orlando, EVP of specials, music programming and strategy will oversee for BET+ along with Angela Aguilera, SVP of music programming and development. Morgan Miller will serve as the showrunner.
While the series is currently in production with a premiere date to be announced later this year, the cast has been confirmed, with a group of returning season one favorites and one brand new castmember: rapper and influencer Jerrika Karlae.
With a combined social media following of more than 20 million users, the season two cast represents a new generation of creatives who use their personas and technology to amass followings, start and grow businesses, set trends and create music.
