Written by on June 11, 2025

Billboard celebrated the genre’s top executives, impact makers and rising artists on Wednesday, (June 4) during the annual Billboard Country Power Players Awards, which were held at venue Category 10 in downtown Nashville.

Reyna Roberts hosted the Country Power Players party, which launched with a performance by Latin artist Carín León.

Brooks & Dunn’s Ronnie Dunn presented Riley Green with the groundbreaker award, while Shaboozey presented BigXthaPlug with the innovator award. Ella Langley’s fast-surging career was recognized with the rising star award, presented to Langley by Lainey Wilson. Songwriters Hall of Fame member Liz Rose presented Little Big Town with the inaugural Ben Vaughn song champion award, named for the late Warner Chappell Nashville leader, who passed away earlier this year. Little Big Town also turned in a moving performance of the song “Rich Man” in honor of Vaughn.

Garth Brooks made a surprise appearance to honor Goldenvoice/AEG executive Stacy Vee with the executive of the year accolade, for her work spearheading the massive Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, California. Billboard country chart manager Jim Asker was also honored for his tenure at Billboard after announcing he will be stepping down from the role later this year due to health issues. Christian artist Lauren Daigle presented Asker with a farewell commemorative Billboard cover.

Brothers Osborne celebrated Music Health Alliance founder Tatum Allsep with the impact award. For the past 12 years, Music Health Alliance has worked to help music industry members, many of whom are independent contractors, navigate complicated issues surrounding healthcare and health insurance.
