Lil Wayne Announces Tha Carter VI Tour Ahead of Album’s Arrival

Written by on June 3, 2025

With Tha Carter VI set to arrive on Friday (June 6), Lil Wayne is plotting a North American tour to bring the album with him on the road later this year.

Announced on Tuesday (June 3), Weezy’s Tha Carter VI Tour is slated to kick off on Friday with a celebratory show at the iconic Madison Square Garden — Wayne’s first time headlining the NYC arena as a solo act.

The trek picks back up on June 30 in Virginia and then the 34-date tour heads to stops in Atlantic City, N.J.; Syracuse and Buffalo in New York; Toronto; Cincinnati; Minneapolis; Milwaukee; Detroit; Phoenix, Seattle; Los Angeles; Austin; Dallas; Atlanta and more before wrapping up in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Oct. 2.

It’s a Young Money reunion of sorts, with Tyga serving as an opener on the trek alongside Atlanta rapper Belly Gang Kushington. NoCap will also be appearing at a select number of shows.

The artist pre-sale will open up on Wednesday (June 4) while the general public will have their shot at tickets on Friday at 10 a.m. local time. Various VIP packages will also be available, and include “premium tickets, a limited edition poster, a specially designed gift and early entry into the venue,” according to the press release.

Tha Carter VI is Wayne’s first solo LP since 2020’s Funeral, which debuted atop the Billboard 200. The last three installments of the Carter series have reached the chart summit.

Weezy initially teased a C6 release date in a Cetaphil Super Bowl commercial, and ended up officially confirming the album’s June 6 arrival in April.
