As Beyoncé fans gear up for her latest dates on the Cowboy Carter tour, Drag Race superstar Trixie Mattel is sharing her own glowing review of the pop superstar’s latest trek.

On the latest episode of her podcast The Bald and the Beautiful with fellow Drag Race star Katya on Tuesday, Mattel shared her unabashed praise for Beyoncé’s tour. “The short of it is, it’s the only thing that’s made me proud to be American in a long time,” she said.

The drag star continued, adding that Beyoncé’s performance of the American dream itself was inspiring to watch. “The fun part of the messaging was just, ‘I’m beautiful, I’m talented, I’m confident, I’m a mother, I’m an artist, I am the best thing about America and I am a Black woman,’” she said. “It’s like, ‘I am the American dream. I am empathetic, I’m proud of where I’m from, I’m proud to be Black, I’m proud to be a woman, I’m proud to have gay people in my orbit.’”

Mattel added that for those concerned that the show might feel like a lecture about the pitfalls of America’s latest political upheaval, Beyoncé doesn’t go into “finger-wagging” territory. “I actually think a conservative could go watch it and have a good experience,” she said. “I think they could still get that out of it.”

Beyoncé is currently closing out mini-residency at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, with her final two shows taking place Wednesday (May 28) and Thursday (May 29). The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer will then travel across the pond for dates in London and Paris, before returning stateside for her shows in her hometown of Houston on June 28 and 29.
