“Come Jesus Come” drew 1.7 million official U.S. streams (up 54%) and sold 7,000 downloads (up 1,691%) April 18-24, according to Luminate. Winans joined Roman Collins for a performance of the song on the Easter edition of ABC’s American Idol (April 20). Collins was a finalist on the competition before being sent home on April 23.

Meanwhile, Winans dethrones herself at No. 1 as “That’s My King” dips to No. 2 after 49 weeks on top. The song is the second-longest-leading title in the Hot Gospel Songs chart’s 20-year history, after Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music’s “Jireh,” featuring Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine, ruled for 86 frames beginning in April 2021.

Ted & Sheri’s Chart-Topping Return

Ted & Sheri’s “You’ve Been So Faithful (Groove)” hops 4-1 on Gospel Airplay (up 6% in plays). The recording is a variation of the 1995 gospel song “You’ve Been So Faithful” by Eddie James & the Phoenix Mass Choir.

After working independently on various projects, Ted & Sheri — Ted Winn and Sheri Jones-Moffett — returned as a pair with the album Again in May 2022. As a duo, the act previously charted with “Celebrate,” which hit No. 4 in 2005. Winn has two top 10s as a soloist: “The Lifter” (No. 7, 2010) and “Stand in Awe,” featuring his backing group Balance (No. 6, 2018). Jones-Moffett’s best of three solo entries is her feature on Donald Lawrence & The Tri-City Singers’ “Goshen 432HZ,” which peaked at No. 16 in 2018.
