DDG says his expensive lifestyle is causing him to live paycheck to paycheck.
On his latest livestream on Wednesday (April 23), DDG confessed that despite having a sizable income, he constantly has to work to keep up with his expenses.
“I have to make money. My bills are high,” DDG said. “Did I tell you how much my bills is a month? N—a, my bills high as s—t. If I don’t work, I’ma go broke ASAP. Like, I have to work. I don’t have a choice. It ain’t ’bout me trying to just pocket some money. I have multiple homes, multiple cars. I have family. I have a child. Like, I spend a lot of money.”
The latest claim from DDG comes after the rapper said on his new song “Don’t Take My Son” that Halle Bailey is trying to make him pay to see their one-year-old son. “Tryna make me pay to see my son, that’s gonna make me hot,” he raps. The two officially split up in October 2024.
The 27-year-old provided more context to the situation surrounding his boy Halo after hopping on a livestream following the release of the track. “I don’t like putting y’all in my business, but I don’t know what else to do. But, I know the internet moves people,” he said. “I just want to see my son, that’s it. I love being a dad and I want to be a dad, plain and simple. I think I’m the first n—a to ever be canceled for wanting to be a dad. It’s dudes out here that get glorified for being deadbeats.”
