Telemundo, HYBE Latin America Launch Music Competition Show to Discover Next Regional Mexican Band

Telemundo and HYBE Latin America are set to debut Pase a la Fama, a music competition series focused on discovering the next great Regional Mexican band. Launching on June 8, the show will feature contestants vying for a $100,000 prize and a record deal with HYBE Latin America.

The series will feature a star-studded panel of judges — Ana Bárbara, Adriel Favela and Horacio Palencia, who are Mexican music superstars renowned for their impact on the genre — and original music produced by Latin Grammy-winning hitmaker Edgar Barrera.

“We are proud to partner with HYBE Latin America on a multifaceted journey to showcase the importance of music to Latin audiences throughout the U.S.,” said Javier Pons, CCO and head of Telemundo Studios, in a press release. “With Pase a la Fama, music fans will witness firsthand the energy, identity and dreams of this new generation of talented musicians looking to make it in today’s highly competitive music industry.”

During the competition, participants will undergo mentorship at a bootcamp where they will “train, perform and face challenges” in each episode.
