Bad Bunny Returning to ‘Saturday Night Live’ as Musical Guest After Benson Boone’s Debut

Bad Bunny is hopping back over to 30 Rock to make his grand return to Saturday Night Live, with the show announcing Thursday (April 24) that the Puerto Rican rapper will perform on its season-ender episode following a musical guest debut from Benson Boone two weeks prior.

SNL‘s 50th season will officially wrap May 17 with an episode hosted by Scarlett Johansson — which, if 2024’s viral Christmas joke swap is any indication, will make for a very interesting Weekend Update which is co-anchored by the Black Widow star’s husband, Colin Jost. Benito is locked in to serve as the finale’s musical guest, with the episode airing a little over a year and a half after he pulled double duty on the show in October 2023 — and about four months after Bunny dropped his Billboard 200-topping LP Debi Tirar Mas Fotos.

Amid one of the last weekends counting down to the show’s triumphant season 50 ending, “Beautiful Things” singer Boone will perform on SNL for the first time ever May 3, potentially adding Studio 8H to his list of stages on which he’s showed off one of his signature backflips. The Quinta Brunson-helmed episode will come a couple months ahead of the release of Boone’s sophomore album, American Heart, on June 20.

The week between Bunny and Boone’s episodes, Arcade Fire will serve as the musical guest as White Lotus star Walton Goggins makes his hosting debut May 10. The members of the “Reflektor” band — who announced new album Pink Elephant on April 8 — are seasoned SNL veterans at this point, performing on the show six times so far since 2007. The group’s most recent appearance was in May 2022.

The final trio of episodes will close out a celebration-filled 50th season for SNL, which marked its anniversary with both an SNL50 homecoming concert and a live TV special in February. Premiering in September, this installment of the show has seen everyone from Ariana Grande to John Mulaney, Charli xcx, Timothée Chalamet and Lady Gaga host, while Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Tate McRae, GloRilla, Shaboozey, Gracie Abrams, Hozier and more stars perform as musical guests.

SNL airs Saturday nights on NBC and streams live on Peacock.
