Written by on April 22, 2025

Bringing awareness to environmental protection, activists and citizens typically will come together on this day to celebrate what makes our planet so unique, and call on humanity to fight for its preservation.

Artists such as Maná have long been imbuing this vital message into their music, with the group being among the greenest musical artists around. In fact, the Mexican rock band inaugurated its Selva Negra foundation in 1995, tackling everything from deforestation to rescuing endangered sea turtles. It’s no coincidence that in 2015, the group even synchronized the release of its studio album Cama Incendiada on Earth Day week.

Trending on Billboard

In honor of Earth Day, Billboard curated a Latin-flavored collection of Mother Nature-inspired songs including Maná’s ecologically minded ’90s classic, “Donde Jugarán Los Niños.” Other eco-conscious tunes in the playlist include Chuwi’s “Tierra,” Aterciopelado’s “Río,” Juan Luis Guerra’s “Ojalá Que Llueva Café,” Carlos Vives’ “La Tierra del Olvido,” and even Bad Bunny’s summer-friendly merengue “Despúes de la Playa,” to name a few.

Whether it’s helping to educate Billboard readers on climate change, reminding us of the beauty of our planet, or simply evoking the elements, this Latin playlist featuring artists of every genre and provides the perfect soundscape for an ever-important occasion. Stream and listen to it below:
