Cypress Hill Drops ‘I Ain’t Goin Out Like That’ From Royal Albert Hall Live Album

Cypress Hill is continuing the rollout of their upcoming live album, Cypress Hill and the London Symphony Orchestra: Black Sunday Live at the Royal Albert Hall, with the second offering from the recording. “I Ain’t Goin Out Like That (Live at the Royal Albert Hall)” arrived on Friday (April 11), following the previously released live rendition of “Illusions.”

The audio recording of the London show, which took place on July 10, 2024, will be released on June 6 via Mercury. It’s available for pre-order here. The video and audio recording of Cypress Hill and the London Symphony Orchestra: Black Sunday Live at the Royal Albert Hall will also be released on multiple physical and digital formats, with physical formats including DVD, Blu-ray, limited edition 2CD, vinyl and limited edition cassette.

Fans will have the opportunity to get a sneak peek at Black Sunday At The Royal Albert Hall on May 3 at Veeps through a ticketed stream. Fans can preorder tickets here, and can bundle their ticket purchase with the various physical releases. 

The eagerly-anticipated show, which took place on July 10, 2024, started out as a joke sparked by a 1996 episode of The Simpsons, in which Homer Simpson tour as part of a Lollapalooza-style music festival. In the “Homerpalooza” episode, Homer, Marge and the Simpson family head backstage at the Springfield Fairgrounds where Cypress Hill and other performers are hanging out. The event staff is then surprised to see the London Symphony Orchestra show up, and suspect that the pro-cannabis band may have called them. “Somebody ordered the London Symphony Orchestra. Possibly while high, Cypress Hill I’m looking in your direction,” they said.

The moment became a joke amongst fans, and the Californian group brought the television moment to real life last year when they appeared at the Royal Albert Hall to perform the 1993 album Black Sunday, among other hits. Black Sunday arrived in July of that year and debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 261,000 album units sold in the first week. Triple-platinum lead single “Insane in the Brain” went on to crack the Billboard Hot 100 top 20, where it peaked at No. 19.
