Aminé Drops Second Single ‘Arc De Triomphe’ From His Upcoming Album

Written by on April 9, 2025

A couple of days ago, Portland’s Animé previewed his latest single via On the Radar, complete with his own backup dancers, and on Wednesday (April 9), he made the song available on streaming services after announcing his first album since 2020’s Limbo.

Serving as 13 Months of Sunshine‘s second single after he dropped the lead single in “Familiar” last month, “Arc de Triomphe” is produced by Lido and samples “Has It Come to This?” by influential U.K. rap project The Streets.

Arriving just in time for the summer with it’s dance-leaning production, Aminé delivers a catchy hook as he spits, “Question. The f— you be on?/Burning these bridges, y’all n—as is nothing like my boy Leon/ I need a bi— that’s bad with a arch in her back like the Arc de Triomphe.”

And while he hasn’t dropped a solo project in five years, Aminé has kept busy with his mixtape TwoPointFive and My Baby EP, both released in 2021, and his collaborative album Kaytraminé with Montreal producer Kaytranada that dropped in 2023. TwoPointFive and Kaytraminé is where he first started exploring this new sound, and judging from these two singles, fans can expect his third solo album to make them move.

With 13 Months of Sunshine set to release May 16, maybe the next thing he announces will be the date for his Best Day Ever festival in his hometown of Portland which he kicked off last year in August. The festival’s IG page promises that news will be coming soon.
