Little Brother have announced that they’ll be hitting the road one last time starting this spring.
On Monday, the North Carolina duo comprised of Phonte and Big Pooh announced they’d be hanging up their mics for good, but not without seeing their fans one last time. The pair will embark on a 12-date “Curtain Call” farewell tour starting May 24 in Baltimore. From there, Little Brother will hit Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and Washington, D.C., before wrapping things up in their native North Carolina on Oct. 24. Little Brother will then hit the high seas as part of the Rock the Bells Cruise through Oct. 31.
“I wanted to let people know, me and Phonte, we super good,” Pooh told AllHipHop. “We had a chance to reconcile, come back and, I believe, put Little Brother to bed the proper way. We was able to do it the right way and I believe that’s one of the things we both thought was important — not that when we knew when that day would be, but it was still important to have that moment and allow our fans to have that moment, too.”
Phonte added: “Pooh said it beautifully. We came back after a decade and got our first No. 1 record, we did our own movie, we did our own block party and regained control of our catalog. Our work is complete. Our mission as Little Brother is complete.”
