Nikki Glaser Already Tapped to Return as Golden Globes Host for 2026

Nikki Glaser got the ultimate vote of confidence on Thursday (March 13) when the comedian was announced to return as host for the Golden Globes next year, 10 months ahead of the 2026 ceremony.
The comedian made her hosting debut at the awards show in January, leading the CBS broadcast to 10.1 million viewers and a 9% jump from last year’s livestreaming audience on Paramount+ and the CBS App.
“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser says in a press release announcing the news. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season Four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”

Glaser made history in January as the first solo woman to host the Globes, following four co-hosting stints from Amy Poehler and Tina Fey (in 2013-15 and 2021) as well as a series of women with male co-hosts throughout the years, including Sandra Oh (with Andy Samberg in 2019), Faye Dunaway (with Tim Curry in 1994) and Raquel Welch (with Michael York in 1985), among others.
The response to Glaser’s hosting gig on social media appeared to be overwhelmingly positive, after a show that included jokes about Diddy, Selena Gomez, Wicked and an Adam Sandler/Timothee Chalamet bit that had a callback earlier this month at the Oscars.
In the press release, Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne said of the early hosting pick: “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor, and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun.”
A graphic for the 2026 edition — which has Glaser ready for battle in golden boxing gloves — says the show will again be in January, but doesn’t include an exact date.
