Which Pop Stars Won February 2025?
Written by djfrosty on March 6, 2025

Though February is the shortest month of the year, it didn’t feel that way from a pop stardom perspective in 2025. Within 28 days, we got all kinds of major pop events — the Grammys, the Super Bowl, multiple music-heavy celebrations of Saturday Night Live‘s 50th anniversary — as well as several major new releases (and even a new major re-release or two) from some of pop’s biggest names, including a couple of our Greatest Pop Stars of 2024 (and of the entire 21st century).
This week, we try to capture all of it with a look back at the Greatest Pop Stars of February 2025. Host Andrew Unterberger is joined by Billboard staffers and regular guests Meghan Mahar and Mike Saponara to share and debate our respective top five lists, while also naming some honorable mentions, some disappointments, and some artists who we’re looking forward to in the months to come. (If you missed our January recap, you can find that episode here.)

Among the topics discussed: Are our top two Greatest Pop Stars of 2024 still reigning two months into 2025? Was The Weeknd’s potential grand finale a triumph or a disappointment? Are we more bearish or bullish about Selena Gomez’s and Benny Blanco’s upcoming collaborative album? And how are we feeling about that Drake guy these days anyway?
Check it out above — along with a YouTube playlist of some of the most memorable pop star moments of February, all of which are discussed in the podcast — and subscribe to the Greatest Pop Stars podcast on Apple Music or Spotify (or wherever you get your podcasts) for weekly discussions every Thursday about all things related to pop stardom!
