The Hard Quartet have shared two new songs. Released as a split single, “Lies (Something You Can Do)” and “Coreopsis Trail” are the indie-rock supergroup’s first new tracks since releasing its debut album last autumn. Professional skateboarder Kevin “Spanky” Long directed the accompanying music video for “Lies,” which features some impressive Etch A Sketch drawing. Watch it below.
With a lineup consisting of the Cairo Gang’s Emmett Kelly, Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus, Chavez’s Matt Sweeney, Dirty Three’s Jim White, the Hard Quartet will embark on their inaugural North American tour later this month. After the North American leg ends in May, the band will play European and UK shows in June.
