Benson Boone Apologizes For Adjusting His Jumpsuit ‘So Aggressively’ At 2025 Grammy Awards

If you caught Benson Boone performing as part of the best new artist medley at Sunday night’s (Feb. 2) 2025 Grammy Awards you likely saw the singer pull off one of his signature flip-off-the-grand-piano moves. It was impressive, even more so because he busted out another forward flip later in the high-energy run of his breakthrough hit, “Beautiful Things.”

And while the mini-set had all the glitz and dazzle we’ve come to expect from the 22-year-old singer — including a cheeky bit at the top where two women tore off his black tuxedo to reveal a shimmery baby blue jumpsuit cut down to his navel — there was one unexpected moment at the end that caught some unwanted attention.

And on Monday morning (Feb. 3), Boone was apologized for giving fans more than they’d bargained for. “Sorry for adjusting my jumpsuit so aggressively on stage tonight,” he wrote on his Instagram Story from what looked like his bed. “That thing was extremely restricting in certain areas.”

The mea culpa came after the broadcast cameras caught Boone grabbing his crotch with gusto and pulling down while making an o-shape with his mouth before taking a bow at the end of his his song. In case you were wondering, yes, the internet definitely noticed.

“A lot of the benson boone hate feels unwarranted but also why did he adjust his tuck on live television,” wrote one commenter, with another adding, “Jumping off a piano, doing multiple flips in a baby blue sequin leisure suit onesie, and adjusting your b–ls in front of a world audience is certainly a flex, Benson Boone.
