Deafheaven Announces New Album: ‘Lonely People With Power’ Will Mark Roadrunner Records Debut

Deafheaven, the long-running and critically acclaimed metal band, have signed with Roadrunner Records and will make their debut on the label with Lonely People With Power. Their first album since 2021 is due out Mar. 28, and the band has released the new song “Magnolia,” along with an accompanying music video.
“We’re beyond excited to announce our new album Lonely People With Power on Roadrunner, a label whose legendary artists still help define our sound today,” says singer George Clarke. Deafheaven previously released three albums on Anti-, while their last album, 2021’s Infinite Granite, was released on Sargent House.
Lonely People With Power was recorded with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Paramore, Jimmy Eat World), and features vocal contributions from Boy Harsher’s Jae Matthews and Interpol’s Paul Banks. The Roadrunner debut will receive a double-LP deluxe edition and limited edition vinyl color variants, and is available to pre-order and pre-save now.

“It’s an honor to welcome Deafheaven to Roadrunner,” says label head Johnny Minardi. “They’ve always been a boundary-pushing band and this record continues that in a massive way. Chris Brown and I have been fans forever, and I’m very proud to have them be a part of the next generation of the label.”
Deafheaven is currently scheduled to perform at a handful of festivals in May and June after recently opening for Knocked Loose, the band is expected to announce more 2025 tour dates shortly. Check out the tracklist to Lonely People With Power below:
