Sports gambling is the norm these days.
We see ads everywhere featuring the latest betting app that tries to get new customers by promoting deals, boosts and things of that nature. And honestly, sports betting can be fun and exhilarating in healthy doses. It’s also a nice way to make a little pocket change if you have a knack for it even if over time you usually end up breaking even anyway. Some people don’t enjoy losing money while gambling, though: Lil Baby recently revealed that he once lost $8 million over the course of a day and decided to swear off gambling forever.
One rapper that doesn’t have those feelings towards gambling happens to be Lil Baby’s Glass Window label signee Detroit rapper 42 Dugg. He loves sports betting, and his X timeline is one of the most entertaining things to follow along with when he’s watching a game he put money on. When the Detroit Lions suffered a stunning upset at the hands of the Washington Commanders, Dugg cursed his hometown quarterback Jared Goff to oblivion, but then he slept on it, and took everything he said back and congratulated Goff and the rest of the Lions for a great season. Those who sports bet can relate all too well.
His funniest tweets, though, are when he bets on random college games — like when he picked the Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team to beat the Georgia Bulldogs. In back-to-back tweets, he said that “they ain’t s–t” only to turn around and apologize after they won by three points and covered the spread.

Jimmy Butler, who may’ve worn out his welcome in Miami and shoul dbe on his way to another team any day now, left the Heat’s 104-97 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Dec. 20 in the first quarter because he was feeling sick. He only played seven minutes, scoring no points or grabbing any rebounds. Butler did manage to dish out a couple dimes, though. We’re assuming Dugg didn’t bet Butler under two assists.

Jalen Milroe? Not a Fan
A projected late-first-round pick is this upcoming NFL draft, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe didn’t end his college career on a high note. The Crimson Tide lost the ReliaQuest Bowl game 19-13 to the Michigan Wolverines, with Milroe throwing for 192 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He only rushed for seven yards and didn’t rush for a touchdowns, though. Milroe averaged 55 rushing yards this past season and rushed for 20 touchdowns.

Detroit was hype for the Lions’ Divisional round game versus the Commanders, and rightfully so. Dugg probably had his buffs on and dressed in his Sunday best. Unfortunately, the Lions season ended early in a stunning loss. Goff threw three interceptions in a 45-31 L at home.

The Lions finished the year with an impressive 15-2 record, the best regular season finish in the franchise’s 95 seasons. Goff was a big reason for that finish, even if Detroit has never won a Super Bowl — with their last championship coming in the pre-Super Bowl 1957 season, when they beat then-rookie running back Jim Brown and the Cleveland Browns 59-14.
