Mr.Greendot himself, NBA Youngboy has officially been sentenced to 23 months in prison & 60 months of probation. Which means the Louisiana rapper will be coming home in 2026. Youngboy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, got time served for his sentence, which counts until May 2024. He made a deal to settle two federal charges. One could land him 23 months in prison, and the other comes with 5 years of probation and a $200,000 fine.
He and his lawyers signed the agreement on Tuesday after locking it in with the feds back in September. YoungBoy admitted that while shooting a rap video in Baton Rouge, he had a Glock 21 .45 and a Masterpiece Arms MPA30T 9mm handgun. He also admitted to having a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol at his crib in Huntsville, Utah, in April 2024. As part of the deal, he agreed to give up the guns.
NBA Youngboy’s Godmother, Kyrie Garcia spoke out about his character being questioned, “I just want people to see Kentrell as a human, and there’s a whole other side to these things … he’s a human, and he has a good heart”.
Fans hope the rapper comes home asap so he can start dropping some more projects as YB dropped 4 projects in 2023 (I Rest My Case, Don’t Try This At Home, Richest Opp, Decided 2). Some of his biggest streaming songs coming out of those projects like, ‘Deep Down’, ‘Now Who’, & ‘B*tch Let’s Do It’.
More news to come for NBA Yuognboy’s case to come as the story develops.
