Dolly Parton exclusively tells Billboard how grateful she is for her fans’ endless support after being placed at No. 1 on Billboard’s 100 Greatest Country Artists of All Time list.

Well, hey, there. It’s Dolly. And I just learned that Billboard magazine just released the list of Country Music’s Greatest Artists of All Time, and they have my name sitting at the top. Can you believe that? Now, when I was a little girl, I would sit around the radio, listening to the Grand Ole Opry and hearing all those great big stars like Hank Williams and Kitty Wells and Johnny Cash and I dreamed of what my life could actually become as well. I just want to say a great big thank you to the folks at Billboard, but most of all to you, the fans. I take none of this for granted. So thank you for giving me the opportunity to take my music all around the world and to see my dreams come true. Just know this from the bottom of my heart: I will always love you, and I’ll always be doing that country music.
