ATEEZ, Jin & ENHYPEN Albums All Land in Billboard 200 Top 10 — A First for K-Pop
Written by djfrosty on November 25, 2024
On the latest Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Nov. 30), three K-pop (Korean pop) albums are in the top 10 concurrently for the first time.
ATEEZ’s GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2 debuts at No. 1, Jin’s Happy debuts at No. 4 and ENHYPEN’s ROMANCE: UNTOLD re-enters the chart at No. 7 following an expanded reissue (after earlier debuting and peaking at No. 2 in July).
In total this year, of the 97 different albums that have ranked in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 (through the Nov. 30 chart), 17 of them were K-pop titles. Three of those topped the chart, and all debuted atop the list: GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2, Stray Kids’ ATE (Aug. 3 chart) and TWICE’s With YOU-th (March 9 chart).
Also notably, earlier in 2024, on the Aug. 3-dated Billboard 200, K-pop held Nos. 1 and 2 for the first time. That week, Stray Kids’ ATE and Jimin’s MUSE debuted at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.
