Beyoncé Channels Pamela Anderson While Encouraging Fans to Vote in Spicy ‘Bodyguard’ Video

Beyoncé kicked off Election Day by stealing some of its thunder. The superstar unleashed her first music video in years for “Bodyguard” on Tuesday (Nov. 5), which finds her channeling a trio of Pamela Anderson’s legendary looks for “Beylloween.”
The Texas-bred superstar modeled looks inspired by the actress’ character in 1996’s Barb Wire, which features her in a black dress and gloves. She even pulls out a gun that pops a “Vote!” message flag to encourage fans to hit the polls.
She also fittingly turned Baywatch into Beywatch while donning the blonde hair and iconic red one-piece swimsuit as she jogs along in slow-motion to save the country as America’s sexiest lifeguard.
A third look mimics Anderson’s memorable 1999 MTV VMAs look featuring a furry pink hat and bedazzled leggings. But instead of the Video Music Awards, she’s comically renamed the show to the No Visual Awards — playing off of her lack of video releases. “Bodyguard” is Beyoncé’s first visual output since 2020’s Black Is King musical film.
Beyoncé publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in the presidential election during a rally in October in her hometown of Houston.
“I’m not here as a celebrity,” she said on stage. “I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother. A mother who cares, deeply, about the world my children and all of our children live in. A world where we have the freedom to control our bodies. A world where we’re not divided. Our past, our present, our future merge to meet us here.”
Bey continued: “We need you. Your voice has power and magnitude. Your vote is one of the most valuable tools, and we need you. Your freedom is your God-given right, your human right. Everybody say Texas! Texas plays a pivotal role to change the course of our future.”
“Bodyguard” landed on Bey’s 2024 Cowboy Carter album, and the Raphael Saadiq-produced track peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100.
