Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Team Up to Launch Still G.I.N. Spirit: ‘We Ain’t Gonna Do Nothing Regular’

Written by on October 15, 2024

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are looking to make their presence felt in the spirits industry once again with the launch of their Still G.I.N. alcohol.

Inspired by 2001 hit “Still D.R.E.,” Still G.I.N. launched nationwide at select retailers on Tuesday (Oct. 15). The spirit boasts a “refined botanical blend that’s modern yet elegant, bursting with notes of tangerine, jasmine and coriander for an unforgettable aromatic finish,” according to the press release.

“This is not a liquor that we’re just putting our name on,” Dr. Dre said in a statement. “It’s just like we did with Beats headphones. Everything is us from the ground up: the gin, the flavor, the packaging. Everything had to be perfect. Snoop said it best: We’re better together – it’s always magical. It’s incredible to know that you’ve got something amazing that you feel is gonna really work. From the look to the taste, it’s all there.”

“Every day in the studio when Dre and I were trying to make the dopest music, we were drinking gin and just having fun,” Snoop Dogg added. “We’ve been a part of the evolution of this gin – from the creation of the flavor, to the percentage of alcohol that’s in it – and it’s just so good! Dre’s a perfectionist: He wants to make sure it’s not just good, but great. Together, we ain’t gonna do nothing regular.”

Snoop and Dre made their first foray into the spirits industry with the Gin & Juice cocktails, which arrived in February.

“Still D.R.E.” originally hit the Billboard Hot 100 when it reached No. 91 in 1999, and then re-entered the Hot 100 to peak at No. 23 in 2022.

There’s music coming from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, who are joining forces for their first full-length project since 1993’s Doggystyle. The sequel to Snoop’s debut is fittingly titled Missionary, and is slated to be released in November.
