Olivia Rodrigo Announces Rescheduled Manchester Concerts Following Co-Op Live’s Delayed Opening

In May, Olivia Rodrigo was due to be one of the first artists to play at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena. The city’s new indoor arena, funded by Oak View Group and has Harry Styles as an investor, was beset by delays and resulted in a number of canceled shows, including two dates by Rodrigo.

Now the pop star has finally announced the rescheduled shows will take place on June 30 and July 1, 2025. Writing on X, the venue said that fans who previously purchased and held onto their tickets will automatically have them transferred to the new dates.

Rodrigo brought her Guts World Tour to the U.K. for a string of shows, including at London’s O2 Arena, the Utilita Arena in Birmingham and The OVO Hydro in Glasgow, in addition to Ireland’s 3Arena in Dublin. At the time of cancellation, Rodrigo wrote on her Instagram Stories, “I’ve been having such a great time in Europe so far and I’m sooooo disappointed that we’re unable to perform in Manchester due to on-going venue-related technical issues.”

The 23,500-capacity Co-op Live venue was due to open on April 23 with a performance by stand-up comedian Peter Kay. Headline music performances by artists including Rodrigo, The Black Keys, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Keane were all postponed while Take That moved its event to the existing AO Arena in the city.

The development by Oak View Group and Manchester City soccer team was estimated to cost £365 million ($462 million), and eventually opened on May 14. Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Paul McCartney and Sabrina Carpenter all have shows booked at the arena in the coming year.

The newly announced dates also align with Glastonbury Festival, which takes place on June 27-30, where Rodrigo is rumored to be topping the bill.

Elsewhere, a concert film of Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour will be coming to Netflix on Oct. 29, and she will be appearing at Billboard’s Live Music Summit for a Q&A panel, where she’ll also be named as 2024’s Touring Artist of the Year.
