Calling for “joy over anger, kindness over recrimination, peace over war,” Wonder has also slotted performances in New York City; Philadelphia; Baltimore; Greensboro, N.C.; Atlanta; Detroit; Milwaukee, Wis.; and Minneapolis, Minn. He’ll wrap with the 10th performance in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Oct. 30.

The press release announcing Wonder’s upcoming performances also notes that “as a special thank you, Wonder will be offering a designated amount of complimentary tickets to those in our communities who are already working tirelessly to fix our nation’s broken heart.”

Wonder, a 25-time Grammy winner, released “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart” on Aug. 30. Prior to that, he spoke on the third night of the Democratic National Convention before performing one of his signature songs, “Higher Ground.”

Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart marks one of the first projects under the partnership between AEG Presents and Free Lunch. Billboard announced the companies’ strategic alliance in June under which Free Lunch founder/CEO Tim Hinshaw will secure and market R&B, hip-hop and gospel tours for AEG’s global touring division.

Tickets for Wonder’s 10-city slate of performances will become available Friday (Sep. 20) at 12 p.m. local time.
