Future Announces New Project ‘Mixtape Pluto’
Written by djfrosty on September 13, 2024
After teasing new material for the last couple of weeks Future has finally confirmed his newest work Mixtape Pluto is coming soon.
This week the Atlanta trap rapper announced his long-anticipated forthcoming solo effort via his Instagram account. “F*** the publicity I got this out the mud MIXTAPE PLUTO 9-20-24” the caption read. The post teased the newest album with a preview visual of the “Too Fast”. Along with the video snippet he also unveiled the album artwork. The cover features Rico Wade’s former house, nicknamed “The Dungeon”, with purple lighting inside. This is where the late great produced most of his iconic music. This home also served as the first work space to Outkast and The Goodie MoB during their formative years.
MIXTAPE PLUTO will be Future’s third project in 2024. Earlier this year he released We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You with producer Metro Boomin. Prior to those collaborative albums his last true solo effort was I Never Liked You in 2022. While not much is known about the forthcoming project the title seems to reference to Future’s debut Pluto and his storied run of classic mixtapes (i.e., 56 Nights, Purple Reign, etc.) which many of his fans believe is his best work.
