T.I. Erroneously Arrested, Cops Pinched The Wrong Clifford Harris

Reportedly T.I. was transported to Clayton County Jail, and a hearing for his extradition was automatically triggered since it was an out of state warrant. However, the rapper’s attorney, Steve Sadow, says he was able to get Tip released a couple of hours after his arrest. The extradition order was dismissed by the judge.

T.I. was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta on Sunday night (August 4). However, although there was a warrant out for the arrest of a Clifford Smith, it was not for the Clifford Harris we all know as the famed Atlanta rapper.
Chalk up to a case of mistaken identity.
TMZ reports that the warrant was actually for a Clifford Harris out of Baltimore. Suspect Harris is wanted to charges that include “violent behavior toward a woman, stalking, and possibly involving a gun.”
It seems like the cops didn’t bother to look too closely at the warrant’s details. The wanted man in question reported ways 205 pounds. As for T.I., he clocks in at around 165, and that’s probably soaking wet, respectfully.
