Morgan Wallen doesn’t always bring out guest performers in his concerts, so when he does, fans know they are in for a treat. During his headlining show at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on Thursday night (Aug. 1) as part of his One Night at a Time Tour, the country star welcomed Country Music Hall of Famers Brooks & Dunn and reigning CMA and ACM entertainer of the year winner Lainey Wilson to perform with him.

B&D’s Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks joined Wallen for his pre-show walkout earlier in the evening at Arrowhead Stadium, before they later teamed up to perform B&D’s 1991 hit “Neon Moon.” Meanwhile, Wilson joined Wallen to sing his recent release, “Lies Lies Lies.”

This isn’t the first time Wallen has shown his love for the slow-burn country ballad “Neon Moon.” In 2022, he posted an acoustic cover version of the song and welcomed Ronnie Dunn to perform it with him that same year. Brooks & Dunn are well known for their love of collaborating, having previously released their 2019 Reboot album, which featured them collaborating with artists including Luke Combs, Jon Pardi, Brothers Osborne and Kacey Musgraves, who performed “Neon Moon” with B&D on the album.

Wilson just released another collaboration of her own, teaming with Miranda Lambert for “Good Horses,” which will be included on Wilson’s upcoming album, Whirlwind. Bringing things full circle, Lambert is a co-writer on Wallen’s No. 1 Billboard Country Airplay chart-topper “Thought You Should Know,” which Lambert wrote with Wallen and Nicolle Galyon.
