Eminem’s “Houdini” launches at No. 1 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart dated June 15, the rapper’s first ruler since 2018.

“Houdini” debuts with 48.8 million official U.S. streams earned in the week ending June 6, according to Luminate.

It gives Eminem his first No. 1 on Streaming Songs, which began in 2013, since “Lucky You,” featuring Joyner Lucas, which premiered atop the Sept. 15, 2018, tally.

Eminem boasts one other ruler: “The Monster,” featuring Rihanna, which led for a week in 2014.

Between “Lucky You” and the reign of “Houdini,” Eminem’s top peak was a pair of No. 2-charting songs: “Killshot” later in 2018 and his featured turn on Logic’s “Homicide” in 2019.

The No. 1 Streaming Songs debut of “Houdini” extends to similar premieres atop R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs and Rap Streaming Songs. It’s Eminem’s fifth ruler on each (2013’s “Berzerk” and “Rap God” are added to the tally).

Concurrently, as previously reported, “Houdini” debuts at No. 2 on the multimetric Billboard Hot 100, with 4 million radio audience impressions and 49,000 digital downloads in addition to its stream count. The song marks Eminem’s second leader on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, following “The Monster,” and sixth on Hot Rap Songs.

“Houdini” is the lead single from The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace), Eminem’s upcoming 12th studio album, due sometime in 2024. It’s his first LP since Music to Be Murdered By, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated Feb. 1, 2020, and has earned 2.6 million equivalent album units to date.
