There’s a lot that goes on in a Big Body Bes video.
He might be posted up in his favorite bodega drinking an ice cold Country Club, curling an EZ bar dipped in flames, or breaking bread at a cuchifrito. One thing is for certain, though, he’s going to be outside with the back block movers and shakers.
In “Survivor” — the latest installment of his Body Language series — Bes can be seen running around Brooklyn wearing various Coogi sweaters and lining himself up with a Fila razorblade, all while dropping jewels for us to pick up off the ground and take home.
And he’s doing so over some of the best beats money can buy: This particular track is produced by Kenny Beats, a.k.a. Cadillac Kenny, as Big Bimmer Body so eloquently referred to the producer out of Connecticut. Body last dropped a song in November called “Drug Money” which was produced by London’s Budgie Beats, and the one prior to that (“Sunsets in the East“) was produced by The Alchemist.
The streets have been waiting for the Fordham Road Ferragamo to finally drop the long-awaited spoken-word rap album Body Language. He’s been teasing the project for a minute now, but at least he’s still releasing street philosophy anthems like this one. We might need the Bootleg Man to make a comeback at this point, though, because this is barbershop music. This is the type of rap only available on a burnt CD from the inside of a bookbag.
We felt so inspired listening to “Survivor,” we decided to pick out the best lines. Check ’em out below.
-
“Black Benz 4MATIC/ Back to machine gun tactics”
This just sounds amazing. I can picture Body in a black leather trenchcoat, hoppin’ out S 500 Benz 4MATIC with the same guns the Punisher has. Only the best in luxury four-wheel drive can navigate these cold and hungry New York City streets.
-
“Back to my old ways/ I’m back to playin’ with the addicts”
If you aren’t familiar with Big Body’s work, he’s been known to bench press a fiend or two. To witness this, one would have to go to Fulton St. in East New York at approximately 3:00 in the morning. It’s a sight to behold.
-
“Balenciaga Body (Size 12)/ We back to boostin’”
Times are hard, with inflation and the gentrification of inner cities across the country. Body understands the only way to survive in America is to rob and steal. We need to get back to boostin’ Polos out of Macy’s. Bum-rush the grocery store, too. Food shouldn’t be this expensive.
Big Body Economics.

“Passin’ blow/ Four in the mornin’ fashion show”
“Where you get those at?” used to be frequently asked question in the hood. Kids growing up in that environment usually got their fashion sense from the hustlers in their neighborhood. Picture coppin’ a 20 sack from Body while he’s wearing a Coogi muscle vest and some sneakers you’ve never seen before? A vision has never been clearer.
-
“Whatever it takes/ Made a half a million off mistakes”
Big Body Bes the Thug Poet is Big Body Bes at his best. We all make mistakes, but what matters is what we learn from those mistakes. And sometimes we’re willing to risk our freedom for some quick paper. Body did the time and paid the cost to be the boss.

“I close my eyes/ And I can see it all”
You can see your life fly by while posted up on the block, sitting on a crate with your back against a gate. But anyone can related to closing their eyes during a moment of calmness and it all making sense. Sometimes you have to take a few seconds to settle your thoughts and center yourself. Big Body Zen has the answers.
