May the 4th Be With You: Uniqlo Drops New Collection of Retro ‘Star Wars’ Tees

With the “May The 4th be with you” Star Wars holiday just around the corner, it’s the best time to show your love and fandom for all things from “a galaxy far, far away” — whether it be a Stormtrooper timepiece or a new video game that takes place in the Star Wars universe.

Japanese retailer Uniqlo has teamed up with artist Kosuke Kawamura on a Star Wars: Remastered collection to celebrate the fan holiday.

Retailing for $24.90 each, the Star Wars: Remastered x Kosuke Kawamura collection features six limited-edition tees that feature retro styles for the first four movies in the Skywalker Saga, including A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and the prequel movie The Phantom Menace.

Kosuke Kawamura is best known for his eye-popping graphic design style that combines pop culture with streetwear fashion. His past collections for the retailer, includes Chainsaw Man, Andy Warhol, Dragon Ball Z and others. Kosuke Kawamura is also creative director at Uniqlo.

In addition, Uniqlo has a few other styles with The Empire Strikes Back available, such as a black tee with “Sooner Than You Think” pre-release messaging and a white tee with the sequel’s movie poster as its centerpiece. Sizes range from XXS to 3XL for men, women and kids.
