Morgan Wallen recently broke Garth Brooks‘s record for the most weeks a country album has spent atop the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, when Wallen’s One Thing at a Time returned to the pinnacle of the Billboard 200 (dated March 16), earning 19 nonconsecutive weeks at the top of the ranking. Those 19 weeks topped Brooks’s Ropin’ the Wind album, which previously held the record with 18 nonconsecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200 in 1991-92.

Wallen’s record-breaking success with One Thing at a Time has been made possible by the enduring popularity of the album’s biggest tracks, including “Last Night,” “You Proof,” “Thinkin’ Bout Me” and the Eric Church duet “Man Made a Bar.” Meanwhile, Brooks’s Ropin’ the Wind album was fueled by hit singles like “The River,” “Shameless,” “Papa Loved Mama,” “What She’s Doin’ Now” and “Rodeo.”

Country albums are defined as those that have appeared on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, which began in 1964. Of course, Brooks and Wallen are not the only artists to have their country projects find massive staying power on top the all-genre chart.

Here, we look into the top 10 country albums that have accumulated the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Brooks and Wallen each have multiple albums on this top 10 list, as does country-to-pop crossover megastar Taylor Swift. Other sets on this list include an album released in 1976, as well as a 1990s project that contained a smash hit which helped fuel the country line dance craze. See the full list below.
