Bravo Mondo, a growth equity firm founded by former Viacom and AOL executive Dermot McCormack, has partnered with Brandon Pankey‘s Artist Presented Experiences (APEX) to assist with strategic and capital needs for the emerging music, content and commerce platform. Pankey will also join Bravo Mundo as music partner as part of the agreement.
“We’re excited to enter into this strategic relationship with APEX,” says McCormack, who serves as Bravo Mondo’s chief executive. “Brandon and APEX are deeply focused on allowing artists to tell their own stories. This collaboration will allow us to leverage our expertise in growth capital and strategic planning to support APEX’s expansion and innovation initiatives.”
The APEX platform was launched in 2023 to “provide unique and tailored experiences and storytelling for artists and their fans, prioritizing authenticity and creativity,” explains Pankey, who as CEO has led APEX to numerous successful partnerships and initiatives, leveraging his expertise in artist relations and event management. As a key executive at Live Nation Urban, Brandon has been instrumental in growing the live business of artists by producing music festivals such as The Roots’ “Roots Picnic” festival and Lil Wayne’s “Lil WeezyAna Fest” in New Orleans, and serving as a producer for televised music specials including YouTube’s “Homecoming: Meet Me on the Yard” and CNN’s “Juneteenth: A Global Celebration for Freedom” amongst others.
