As promised, Taylor Swift is giving fans sneak peeks at the four surprise songs featured in Disney+’s upcoming extended version of the Eras Tour film every day until the streaming edition drops – and the first track on the list is so scarlet, it’s “Maroon.”
In a 25-second clip premiered by Good Morning America Tuesday (March 12), the 34-year-old pop star sits at her floral-painted piano on the B-stage of her enormous live production. As she passionately recites the spitfire lyrics to the second track on her Midnights album, tens of thousands of fans at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles sing along with her.
“The burgundy on my T-shirt when you splashed your wine into me/ And how the blood rushed into my cheeks, so scarlet, it was …,” she croons in the clip, dressed in a magenta gown that sparkles under the stadium lights. “The mark you saw on my collarbone, the rust that grew between telephones/ The lips I used to call home, so scarlet, it was maroon.”

Filmed over the course of six shows at SoFi, the Eras Tour film first premiered in AMC theatres in October. After becoming available to rent on-demand in December, the project will now find a new home on Disney+ Thursday (March 14), featuring previously cut footage of Swift singing “Cardigan” as well as “Maroon” and three other acoustic tracks.
In a previous trailer for the streaming edition of the film, Swift calls “Maroon” one of her “favorites.” The ballad debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 2022, one of 10 songs on Swift’s 10th studio album that made her the first artist to simultaneously occupy all of the top 10 slots on the chart.
The 14-time Grammy winner will continue to announce the titles of surprise songs featured in Disney’s extended cut of Eras Tour on GMA. She recently finished a series of six shows at Singapore’s National Stadium, with plans to resume her global trek in Paris in May.
