Toby Keith may have passed away, but the thousands of songs he penned in his lifetime will carry on his legacy forever.

In fact, a post on the country music icon’s Instagram page just days before he died Monday (Feb. 5) notes that Keith built a catalog of more than 5,000 tracks. Thirty-nine of them were Billboard Hot 100 hits, with his seminal “Red Solo Cup” peaking the highest at No. 15, and 76 of them found a home on the Hot Country Songs chart — a ranking Keith topped a whopping 20 times in his three-decade career, with classics such as “How Do You Like Me Now?!,” “Beer For My Horses” and “My List.”

News of the seven-time Grammy nominee’s passing was shared to his official website via a statement informing fans that Keith had died “surrounded by his family.” “He fought his fight with grace and courage,” the message continued.

His death follows a two-year battle with stomach cancer. He was 62 years old.

Many of Keith’s country music peers have spent the hours after news of his death paying respects to the Oklahoma native, with Morgan Wallen writing “RIP … A Country Music and American Legend,” and Jelly Roll noting, “Toby inspired millions and I was one of them” on Instagram Stories.

“Saddle up the horses, Jesus, ‘cause a true blue COWBOY just made his ride up to heaven!!!” chimed in Carrie Underwood in an Instagram post. “Introduce him to all the Okies and sign that boy up for the choir! We’re gonna miss you, Toby, but my heart has no doubt that you are standing in the presence of our King right now!!! See you again someday, friend.”

And while there’s no way to properly honor every single one of the chart-topper’s game-changing songs, you can celebrate your favorite here. From “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” to “Red Solo Cup,” cast your vote for your favorite Toby Keith song below.
