Apple TV+ has entered high society with its new period drama The Buccaneers, featuring pop-song dance scenes (including Taylor Swift’s “Nothing New”), love triangles and drama, of course.
In case you need something to hold you over until the newest season of Netflix’s hit drama Bridgerton, the new series has you covered — and will maybe even become your latest binge-watch. It’s based on the novel of the same title by Edith Wharton and explores what happens when five American women enter English society.
Transport yourself to the 1870s as you follow Conchita Closson (Alisha Boe); Nan (Kristine Froseth) and Jinny St. George (Imogen Waterhouse); and Mabel (Josie Totah) and Lizzy Elmsworth (Aubri Ibrag) as they are sent to London to secure themselves husbands. What ensues is an Anglo-American clash as the girls bring their bull-headedness and American charm to the balls of London.
