Fans were already lined up to enter Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Monday night (Aug. 28) for the first of two shows from Drake when they were informed that the gig had been postponed. “Due to unforeseen circumstances with the newly-installed videoboard at Rogers Arena, tonight’s Drake performance will now take place on Wednesday, August 30,” read a statement from the venue.

The post noted that all tickets for Monday’s show will be honored tonight and that the gig scheduled for Tuesday night (Aug. 29) would go on as planned. “Drake was ready and excited to perform. He is looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rogers Arena apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause,” it continued.

On Sunday, the arena encouraged fans not to arrive earlier than 8 a.m. on Monday to queue up for general admission entry. Just hours before Monday’s planned gig, the venue posted video of a merch tent outside the arena, encouraging fans to show up early to snag some swag before the show. A spokesperson for Drake could not be reached for comment at press time.

Drake has been walking to the stage through the audience during his It’s All a Blur tour dates, and on Tuesday night he was joined by Lil Yachty on his stroll, as well as Travis Scott. The latter subbed in for the tour’s opener, 21 Savage, on Tuesday night, with the dynamic duo teaming up for the live debut of their collab from Scott’s Utopia album, “Meltdown,” as well as Scott’s Astroworld smash “Sicko Mode.”
