Eminem received birthday wishes from a number of his rap peers on Monday (October 17) as he celebrated turning 50 years old.
50 Cent, who signed with Em’s Shady Records imprint in 2002 and has remained a loyal friend and collaborator ever since, dedicated an Instagram post to the Detroit native.
“Happy birthday to my boy @eminem I love you,” he wrote next to a photo of Eminem wearing a party hat and holding a gun. “I’m wishing you many more God bless. I’m gonna come see you when I get done touring.”
Fellow Motor City MC Royce Da 5’9″ also took to Instagram to wish his Bad Meets Evil partner-in-rhyme a happy birthday — in typically comical fashion.
“Next Week on SNL!” he joked while sharing a black-and-white portrait of Slim Shady. “Nah.. Just kidding [crying face emojis] Happy Birthday to the [G.O.A.T.] @eminem Love you, Sunny Jim.”
Public Enemy’s Chuck D, who Eminem has hailed as one of his Hip Hop heroes, also joined the chorus of birthday celebrations by sharing an illustration he drew of the 8 Mile legend.
“Goat50 looks good on you champ many more @Eminem @Rapstation365,” he tweeted while showing off his artistic talents.

Elsewhere, the birthday wishes poured in from former G-Unit solder Tony Yayo, Hot 97 and Apple Music host Ebro Darden and former Aftermath producer Fredwreck.
Even Eminem’s beloved hometown team, the Detroit Lions, saluted their native son on his special day.
Eminem is 50.

For his part, Eminem celebrated his 50th birthday by unveiling a new merch collection commemorating the 20th anniversary of his blockbuster third album The Eminem Show, which originally landed on June 4, 2002.
Dropping Thursday (October 20), the collection includes t-shirts and hoodies adorned with imagery of the album, including its tracklist, accolades and lyrics, as well as a photo of Em working with Dr. Dre in the studio.
Prior to its 20th anniversary, Eminem released an expanded edition of The Eminem Show featuring 18 bonus tracks, including a handful of previously unreleased songs, as well as various instrumentals and live versions of his existing hits.
Even at the ripe old age of 50, Eminem remains as as hungry as ever when it comes to Hip Hop supremacy.
“My role in today’s Hip Hop is to always try to be the best rapper. That’s it,” he wrote in his recent XXL cover story.
“I can’t do that until I listen to what the fuck J. Cole just put out. What the fuck did Kendrick just put out? And I’m thinking, ‘Oh, these dudes ain’t playing.’ I don’t want to get swept away in that shuffle. I still want to let everybody know who the fuck I am.”
He added: “I want to do things that nobody from this point on can ever top. Rap to a level that no one else could get to … I don’t have to make albums. I don’t have to do anything at this point. It’s about wanting to, and that’s never changed for me no matter what level the fame’s gotten to.”
