The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season finale drops on Friday (Oct. 14). Amazon Studios’ series is set thousands of years before the events in J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, with the epic drama following new and familiar characters battling a re-emergence of evil on Middle-earth.

According to Amazon, the series takes viewers back to an era “in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.”

Rings of Fire premiered via Prime Video on Sept. 1. Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Nazanin Boniadi, Peter Mullan, Benjamin Walker, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Ema Horvath, Lenny Henry and Owain Arthur are among the cast. Also launching on Friday, The Official The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Podcast, hosted by Felicia Day.
